Sarasota offers its visitors and residents a variety of recreational and cultural opportunities. Or perhaps an evening enjoying a concert at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Center then strolling downtown to one of the many fine restaurants to top off your night is more your style. The Sarasota Opera House and the Apollo Repertory Theater continuously delight audiences with spectacular performances. World renowned St. Armands Circle is just over the Ringling Bridge and boasts superb indoor and outdoor dining and shopping venues. There is always something going on! Nov. 4th, 6-9 pm. “Music on Main”. Lakewood Ranch Main Street. Free event. Robin and the Retros will fill the air with 60’s, 70’s and Motown Music and the deejay will keep you dancing with today’s Top 100 hits. There are food and drink vendors. Come and enjoy live music and a great time! Bring a chair. Dogs welcome but must be on leash. No coolers.

Nov. 11th, beginning 10 a.m., “Sarasota Veterans’ Day Parade”. The parade starts at Osprey and Main Street - ends at Five Points Park. Parade will have marching bands, service organizations and veterans groups. There will be a special guest speaker at 11:00 AM at the park.
